Mechanical (DLS) wins

VIJAYAWADA: Mechanical (DLS) emerged winners defeating Commercial Department 25-15, 16-25, 15-10 in the final of the DRM Cup volleyball tournament organised by South Central Railway Sports Association at Railway Institute here on Wednesday. Mechanical (C&W) beat Railway Protection Force 25-18, 25-17 to finish third.

Additional Divisional Railway Manager K.V.V. Satyanarayan distributed prizes to the winners.

CZ team for inter-zonal

Guntur's J. Sivakoti will lead the Central Zone under-13 team for the ACA inter-zonal tournament to be held at Vizianagaram from October 22, ACA CZ secretary Dr. Pattabhiranamaih said here on Wednesday.

ALC for Chennai tourney

Andhra Loyola College football team will take part in the "Murphy Trophy" tournament organised by Loyola College, Chennai in January 2007, said college principal Fr. Dr. S Emmanuel here on Wednesday.
