Coimbatore: Sansitha Nandakumar of Tamil Nadu defeated her opponents with ease to enter the girls' under-12 and 14 semifinals in the AITA Talent Series tennis tournament at the Life Spring Sports Condo courts here on Wednesday.

The top seed from Coimbatore thrashed Statemate H. Madhumitha 6-0, 6-0 in the under-14 section. She drubbed seventh seed Sai Samitha (TN) 6-1, 6-1 in the under-12 section.

In the under-14 boys' section, top seed Ishwar Prasad (TN) halted the dream run of S.M. Abdullah of Andhra Pradesh 6-0, 6-3 for a place in the last four.

The results (quarterfinals): Boys: U-12: Karan Kurup (TN) bt S.P. Prasanth (TN) 6-4, 6-1; R. Sai Avinash (TN) bt V. Vishal (TN) 6-3, 6-3; Rohit Gowda (Kar) bt Anirudha (TN) 6-2, 6-7(1), 6-4; S.A. Venkatesh Krishna (TN) bt Rishab (AP) 6-4, 7-6(5).

U-14: Ishwar Prasad (TN) bt S.M. Abdullah (AP) 6-0, 6-3; M. Senthil Kumar (TN) bt Rishab (AP) 6-2, 6-0; Varun Sathyanarayanan (Kar) bt Mohd. Abrar (TN) 6-4, 6-1; Jayaraj Prasanna (TN) bt Karan Kurup 7-5, 7-6(4).

Girls (quarterfinals): U-12: Sansitha (TN) bt Sai Samitha (TN) 6-1, 6-1; Dharuthi Venugopal (Kar) bt Sambhavi Dixit 5-7, 6-3, 6-1; S.A. Shree Sanjana (TN) bt Ashwini Suresh (TN) 6-1, 6-1; Mahasri (TN) bt Swetha (TN) 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-4.
