VISAKHAPATNAM: Hyderabad won the Vinoo Mankad Trophy under-19 South Zone tournament, beating Karnataka by 44 runs and with a bonus point, in the title-deciding match at Ukku Stadium here on Wednesday. Tamil Nadu, last year's winner, beat Kerala by four wickets at Port stadium and finished third while runner-up Andhra gained a bonus point in its seven-wicket win over Goa to take fourth place at ACA-VDCA stadium. The scores: Hyderabad 201 for eight in 50 overs (Sandeep Rajan 56, Kushal P. Jilla 46, Pruthvi Reddy 32, K.P. Appanna four for 29) bt Karnataka 157 in 45.4 overs (Kunal Kapoor 36, Yuvraj Yadav three for 22). Hyderabad 5 pts, Karnataka minus one. Kerala 174 in 47.2 overs (C.P. Rizwan 55, Santu Jose 32, K. Martin Sanjeev three for 34) lost to Tamil Nadu 175 for six in 42.2 overs (Martin Sanjeev 40, Abhinav Mukund 32, N. Einstein 31 n.o., Gopinadh 30, Deepak Murali four for 16). Tamil Nadu 4 pts. Goa 170 in 49.2 overs (Navin Sharma 44, K. Bharat Reddy three for 35, G.V.S. Prasad three for 49) lost to Andhra 173 for three in 38.5 overs (Mohsin Basha 68, V. Sandeep 55).
