State to abide by verdict

HYDERABAD: Home Minister K. Jana Reddy has said the Government will abide by the Supreme Court judgment regarding Gouru Venkata Reddy, husband of Congress MLA Charita Reddy. Reacting on the verdict at Nidamanur in Nalgonda district on Wednesday, the Minister said the Congress Government had the highest respect for courts and the present judgment would be honoured by all means.

He said if Mr Venkata Reddy approached the Government with yet another petition for mercy, it would be considered as per law.
