"Police targeting AIADMK men"

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa on Wednesday alleged that her party workers were being arrested at the behest of DMK functionaries.

It was shameful that a section of the police was behaving in this manner to prevent AIADMK men from campaigning, she said in a statement here. She quoted instances in north Chennai and south Chennai to back her claim that indiscriminate arrests were being carried out. This was being done so that DMK men could indulge in violence on poll day.
