NEW DELHI : The Expenditure Finance Committee headed by Delhi Finance Minister A. K. Walia has approved four major projects of the Public Works Department worth Rs. 23 crores for strengthening and widening of roads in the Capital. Briefing newspersons after the meeting on Wednesday, Dr. Walia said the Master Plan road No.102 from DDA Chilla Sports Complex to Khoda Chowk in Mayur Vihar Phase-II East Delhi would be widened from the present four lanes to six lanes at an estimated cost of Rs.9.96 crore. This work would be completed by July next year. Dr. Walia said the widened road would ultimately link DDA Chilla Sports Complex to National Highway 24 via the New Kondli area, relocated Khari Baoli market and Fish Market.
