S.Ve. Sekar seeks protection

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI : Mylapore MLA S Ve Sekar, AIADMK, complained to the city police commissioner that he had received threats while campaigning for the party candidates contesting in the ward elections on Wednesday.

He submitted a petition alleging that people belonging to a rival party had warned him of dire consequences and urged the police to investigate the matter and provide him protection. Later in the evening, he filed a complaint with the Mylapore police alleging that miscreants had pelted stones at his house damaging windowpanes. A senior officer said the case was being investigated.
