Eppinger plant to go on stream

COIMBATORE:
Eppinger Tooling Asia Private Limited, a 100 per cent export oriented unit for tool handling systems and components for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines here, plans to start commercial manufacturing from next month.
Trial production was on at the Rs. 20 crore plant, said Uwe G. Eppinger, Managing Director of ESA Eppinger GmbH, and promoter of Eppinger Tooling Asia Private Limited.
ESA Eppinger is a Germany-based manufacturer of tool holders and components for CNC machines. Eppinger Tooling Asia will meet most of the requirements of the German unit.
Mr. Eppinger told The Hindu here on Wednesday that ESA Eppinger made about a lakh tool holders annually in Germany and exported it to different countries, including Japan, Korea and the U.S. "The capacity being created here will double that output."
