IFC to invest $100 m in HDFC Bank bonds

NEW DELHI: The International Finance Corporation (IFC) on Thursday decided to invest $100 million in the bonds of HDFC Bank Limited. The funds, totalling about Rs. 450 crore, would help the private sector bank in augmenting its capital base, the IFC Executive Vice-President, Lars H. Thunell, told newspersons here on Thursday.
