Draft irrigation policy in eight weeks

HYDERABAD: Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah has said that a comprehensive irrigation policy will be ready in eight weeks and available on the official website for feedback.

He told reporters here on Wednesday that Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and officials had discussed the draft policy. The public, political parties and media could offer suggestions and give feedback on the policy, the Minister noted.
