KOLLAM: KPCC general secretary K.C. Rajan has said the five-month-old Left Democratic Front Government has proved to be an utter failure on all fronts. He was inaugurating the 32nd district conference of the Kerala NGO Association here on Thursday. Mr. Rajan said when it comes to the performance of the Government; it appears to have contracted `chikungunya.' The failure was too conspicuous in law and order, education, industry and agricultural sectors. Not even a single promise made in the LDF election manifesto has been fulfilled. Government employees were being subject to transfers with some sort of vengeance, he alleged. The State has a Chief Minister who has no control over some of the portfolios handled by ministers of his own party. Even a conference of Commercial Taxes officers called by the Chief Minister had to be abruptly called of because of intra-party wrangles. The State is reeling under an unbearable price rise. The nexus between the spirit mafia and the CPI(M) is getting more and more exposed each day.
