Caste discrimination panel seeks quota for contractual posts in RIMS

Staff Reporter

KADAPA: Kulavivaksha Vyatireka Porata Sangham members staged dharna before Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences here on Wednesday demanding rule of reservations in contractual posts and cancellation of outsourcing contract.

KVPS district secretary T. Sunil deplored the decision to fill posts in RIMS through outsourcing and awarding of contract to NMR Constructions.

He alleged that N. Madhava Reddy of NMR Constructions, who quoted 0.2 per cent in his bid, was chosen, as he was Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's follower. Collector M.T. Krishna Babu ignored the lowest bidders who quoted 0 and 0.1 per cent, he alleged.

The district administration was bowing to diktats of ruling party leaders, he alleged.

He demanded employment to families whose lands were acquired for RIMS.
