Young World Quiz on November 4

Bangalore: The Hindu Young World Quiz, the annual event eagerly awaited by bright students, is back again. It is being held across the region and in Bangalore on November 4. The venue will be Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan on Miller's Road and the event will start at 2 p.m. The school teams have to report latest by 1.15 p.m.

As at every centre, in Bangalore too there will be a written preliminary round to select six teams for the regional finals. The grand finals will be in Madurai and the qualifying teams from other cities will travel there and stay there as arranged by The Hindu.

Any two students, from Class 10 to 12, can form a team. Schools have been sent entry cards and these have to be filled in and should reach The Hindu offices by October 28 at the latest. After registering the entries, the top portion of the cards will be returned to the schools and they have to bring them to the venue of the quiz. There is no entry fee for the event.

Young World Fest

The Hindu Young World Fest is to be held during November. The dates are November 6, 7 and 8 (preliminary rounds) and the Grand Finale on November 9 at NMKRV College Auditorium, Jayanagar 3rd Block. The fest gives an opportunity to students to exhibit their talent with several interesting competitions such as group dance, flower arrangements, collage making, cartooning, ceramic tile painting and garland making for students different age groups.
