District panchayat to launch Rs.3.39-crore project on Sunday

KOZHIKODE: The integrated coconut development project of the district panchayat will now be formally inaugurated on November 5. Local Administration Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty will inaugurate the project at a function to be held at the Arikkulam KPMSM High School Ground.

The inauguration, scheduled for Sunday, was postponed in view of the death of Mathai Chacko, MLA.

District panchayat president K.P. Kunahammedkutty said the project, at an estimated cost of Rs.3.39 crore, would bring around 600 hectares under coconut farming.
