Bangalore: With the induction of the new-generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft into its fleet of eight, SpiceJet has announced plans to consolidate its existing network. SpiceJet will launch six daily direct flights (Delhi-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Bangalore, Bangalore-Delhi, Delhi-Bangalore, Bangalore- Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Delhi). It will be the airline's third flight service on the Delhi-Hyderabad sector and its second flight service on the Delhi-Bangalore sector. The Bangalore-Delhi flight will depart at 12.45 p.m. and the Bangalore-Hyderabad flight at 4.50 p.m. Siddhanta Sharma, chief executive officer, SpiceJet, speaking to presspersons here on Thursday said, "SpiceJet follows the international and proven model for a low-cost airline. Instead of opening more routes, we believe in introducing more flights on existing routes." The new flights will start on November 18 with special fares ranging from Rs. 799 to Rs 1,799. Seats can be booked through SpiceJet's website, www.spicejet.com.
Air separation plant
MSPL Gases Ltd. has installed a 50-tonne per day air separation plant on build-own-operate basis for Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant of Steel Authority of India Ltd. at Bhadravati. MSPL Gases is part of the Baldota group. This is the first Indian plant of its tonnage, which is suited to meet the flexible demands of medium-size steel plants.
ICICI Bank scheme
ICICI Bank has launched a festive season "Get up to 100 per cent cash back" scheme for its credit card customers. The offer is on till December 31. Credit card customers can avail themselves of the offer on all transactions of Rs. 2,000 and above, only on ICICI Bank charge slip. Under the scheme, a customer will get a minimum of one per cent cash back and a maximum of 100 per cent cash back on eligible transactions. The summation of the six-digit authorisation approval code (AAC) on the charge slip will decide the amount of cash a customer gets. The sum of these digits can range from a minimum of one (when the AAC is 000001) to a maximum of 54 (when the AAC is 999999). The cash will be credited to the customer's account.
