Cherishing their single tag

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: There is plenty to be said for being footloose and fancy-free. And for those who choose firmly to never stray from the course, there are 20 good reasons to continue in their current state in the book "Chasing the Good Life: On Being Single", which was released here on Friday.

While it might be a word that defines people and is a trigger for most never-ending conversations at family get-togethers, the writers in this book are celebrating their cherished single tag. With not a single sob story, as editor Bhaichand Patel puts it, "Chasing the Good Life: On Being Single'' is about friendship, freedom and more than a little fun.

"All the people who have written in the book are above 30, except one. She insisted that she wanted to be part of the book and I am sure that she will get married soon, " he says.

The contributors are all recognisable names from the media ranging from television journalist Karan Thapar to seasoned writer Khushwant Singh.
