Delhi's biggest baraat ghar on the way

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The foundation stone for Delhi's biggest baraat ghar -- a two-storey structure over half an acre of land -- will be laid by Union Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken at Alaknanda in South Delhi on October 20. Along with the baraat ghar, a petrol pump and a shopping and commercial complex with three-tier basement parking will also be constructed on a seven-acre plot in South Delhi. These facilities would serve lakhs of residents of Alaknanda, Greater Kailash II and C.R. Park.

In July, the Delhi Development Authority had directed its planning and architecture wings to speed up the process of development of this seven-acre plot in front of Jahapanah Club and behind Aravalli Apartments in Alaknanda.
