BDA recovers property worth Rs. 16 crore

Bangalore: Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has become richer by Rs. 16 crore after demolishing structures in illegally occupied land in the western part of the city.

An extent of two acres in Jnana Bharati 2nd Block worth Rs. 10 crore was taken over by the BDA after demolishing the unauthorised construction.

Another property at Jnana Bharati 4th Block valued at Rs. 2.08 crore, measuring 10,400 sq ft and a third property, covering 15,000 sq ft at Valagerahalli, worth Rs. 2.25 crore, were also recovered.

In Chandra Layout, the BDA took back a CA site measuring 2,800 sq ft, valued at Rs. 70 lakh.

Another 40 ft X 60 ft site at Chandra Layout worth Rs. 48 lakh and a 2,500 sq ft area in Nagadevanahalli, valued at Rs. 50 lakh, were also recovered. Unauthorised construction of 1,500 sq ft, valued at Rs. 45 lakh was taken back by BDA at Nagarbhavi Layout.
