Training course

The Multi Disciplinary Training Centre of Khadi and Village Industries will conduct a two-month training course in mobile phone servicing from October 16 on its premises near FCI godown in Dooravaninagar for educated unemployed youths and housewives. The centre will also guide the trainees on obtaining financial assistance under RGEP scheme of Khadi and Village Industries Commission. Details can be had on 25650285.

Painting contest

As part of the ongoing exhibition of `Navagraha' paintings, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will conduct an `on-the-spot' painting competition for children on Saturday at 4 p.m. on its premises.

Magic show

Magician S.P. Nagendra Prasad in coordination with the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) will conduct a magic show on Sunday to create awareness on the spread and prevention of dengue, chikungunya and malaria. BMTC timetable

The new timetable of all services of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) was recently released and is for sale at all BMTC bus stations.

The new timetable, printing of which was outsourced to a private firm, comprises scientifically designed route maps of Bangalore in Kannada and English. It also contains useful information about BMTC like official telephone numbers, email IDs, types of passes and their availability, different services, operational details etc.
