JAIPUR: The BCCI vice-president, Lalit Modi, on Saturday clarified that his comments on India pulling out of all future International Cricket Council (ICC) events were quoted out of context. "I was asked what would happen in the worst-case scenario and I had said what could have been the obvious," he said. Modi confirmed that the Board was engaged in several discussions with the ICC and was scheduled to meet the ICC Chief Executive Malcolm Speed here on Sunday. Modi had charged the ICC of putting pressure on the Board to sign the Members' Participation Agreement (MPA) covering major ICC one-day tournaments. "If the BCCI does not sign the MPA, then the ICC's income would be reduced to 5 per cent of what it currently is," claimed Modi.
