Special Correspondent
Thiruvananthapuram: Pannian Ravindran, MP, on Saturday said the decision to deny assistance for the medical treatment of poor patients from the Prime Minister's National Calamity Relief Fund was unjustified. He was reacting to the rejection of the applications of seven patients from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital here. He urged the State Government to assist the patients. He said the Prime Minister's Office had informed him that Thiruvananthapuram and Kottayam medical college hospitals had been excluded from the list of eligible hospitals.
