NIZAMABAD: District Youth Welfare Department and Nehru Yuva Kendra will jointly conduct a two-day `Yuva Utsav' (youth festival) for persons in the age group of 15 to 35 years at Karshak Bhavan Auditorium, here on October 26 and 27. On the first day, competitions will be held in Carnatic classical music, Hindustani classical music, flute, veena, mridangam, sitar, tabla, harmonium, guitar, drama and elocution. On the next day, contests will be held in folk music, folk dance, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Manipuri and Odissi.
Elocution
The contestants of elocution competition can deliver their views for four minutes in English, Hindi and Telugu - on any topic they get through draw. Interested can register their names either at District Youth Welfare Office or Nehru Yuva Kendra.
