Chandrashekar Patil refutes DSS charge

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Chandrashekhar Patil has refuted statements made by Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) State convenor Lakshminarayana Nagawara that his children studied in English-medium schools and were living abroad.

Mr. Patil said on Saturday that both his children studied in Kannada-medium schools in Dharwad and were employed in Bangalore. His daughter Meena Sadashiva was a Kannada poet with four collections to her credit, he said. His grandson studied in a Kannada-medium school in Bangalore, said Mr. Patil.

"People are entitled to hold their opinions on issues. But they should clarify facts before making statements," he said.
