According to the police, the Half Marathon run would be flagged off from Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium at 7-30 a.m. At least 7,000 participants will begin the run -- a distance of 21.09 km -- from the Stadium. They will take Bhishma Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, the slip road near Lodhi flyover, Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, JLN Marg, Delhi Gate, Bahadur Shah Zafar (BSZ) Marg, Tilak Marg, Bhagwan Dass Road, Ferozeshah Road, Raisina Road, Vijay Chowk, Rajpath, "C" hexagon (along inner footpath), Zakir Husain Marg, Subrahmanian Bharati Marg, Maharishi Raman Marg and then back to the Stadium via Bhishma Pitamah Marg.

The senior citizens' run will begin from JLN Stadium at 7-50 a.m. in which 3,000 participants are likely to take part. They will go to Lodhi Road and return to the Stadium using the Lodhi Road flyover.

In the wake of the event, restrictions on general traffic will be imposed on several roads from 7 a.m. While Bhishma Pitamah Marg will remain closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., Lodhi Road will remain closed from 7-15 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be traffic restrictions in varying degrees -- while some would be completely off limit for vehicles, on other roads the restrictions would be partial -- on all the roads that will be used by the participants.

No heavy (HGVs) and light goods vehicles (LGVs) will ply on Ring Road between Sarai Kale Khan and Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) flyover from 7 a.m. till 9-30 a.m. They will be diverted to the National Highway No. 24 and G.T.
