Gas leak near Bhopal

BHOPAL: About 80 villagers from Naya Pura and Kirat Nagar in Raisen district near Bhopal were affected by gas leak and rushed to the Jai Prakash Hospital here on Saturday with burning eyes and breathlessness.

When contacted, the Collector told The Hindu that the gas leak was reported around 7 p.m from the two villages, about 10 km from the Mandideep Industrial area and a distillery. Inquiries did not indicate any accidental gas leak from there.
