MBA student dies of dengue

GUNTUR: An MBA first year student of RVR & JC College Veeran Jai Krishna, 21, died of dengue on Sunday evening while undergoing treatment at the Amaravathi Institute of Medical Sciences in Guntur.

While he was undergoing treatment for dengue, viral pneumonia set in on Saturday, which according to District Medical and Health Officer K. Suresh Kumar was a bad combination. He was residing in Potthuruvari Veedhi in the city.

A fresh case of dengue was reported from Macherla on Sunday and the patient was shifted to AIMS Hospital. Patients in three other cases of dengue, detected earlier, were recovering well in the Government Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital.
