Official inspects `Dry day' implementation

In-charge Municipal Commissioner Ch. Krishna Kishore on Sunday inspected implementation of `Dry day' at Padavalarevu centre, Machavaram, Karmika Nagar, Gunadala, Ranigarithota, New Rajarajeswaripet, Vidyadharapuram and surrounding areas. Mr. Kumar sought cooperation from people for the sanitation drive.

Special counters

To mark `Dhana Trayodasi,' Mohammad Khan and Sons Jewellers will open special counters in its showrooms in Vijayawada and Guntur for three days from October 17, says Irfan Khan, managing director of the showroom.

Death condoled

Editor of `Krishna Patrika' Telugu daily and president of Sri Ramamohana Dharma Pustaka Bhandagaram Piratla Venkateswarlu on Sunday condoled the death of veteran journalist Bommareddy.
