Ornaments worth Rs. 2.75 lakh stolen

BANGALORE: Miscreants ransacked the house of a retired NGEF employee and decamped with jewellery worth Rs. 2.75 lakh in Ramamurthynagar police station limits on Saturday.

The police said the miscreants targeted the house of Parashiva at Hoysala Nagar when its occupants had taken a family member to hospital. The incident came to light when the family returned home around midnight. Ramamurthynagar police have registered a case.

Robbed

Four miscreants wearing masks threatened a shopkeeper and robbed him of Rs. 3,000 and a mobile phone in Malleswaram police station limits on Saturday night.
