Man held for keeping firecrackers illegally

NEW DELHI: Delhi police on Sunday arrested a 31-year-old man following a raid at his godown where he had illegally kept fire-crackers for sale in North-East Delhi.

``Rajeev Jain was issued temporary license to sell about 200 kgs of firecrackers to sell during the festival. However, he had illegally kept more quantity than he was authorised at his godwon near Loni Road, thus risking the life of people in the vicinity in case of any accident,'' said a police official.

A case has been registered against him and the police is further interrogating him.- PTI
