Two die of suspected dengue in Koppal

Koppal: Two persons died of suspected dengue in Koppal district in the past two days. The first case was reported from Tavargera village in Kustagi taluk where a six-year-old girl took ill on Monday last.

Sahana, daughter of Sharanappa Hanchinal, was admitted to a hospital in Sindhanur. Preliminary tests conducted at a laboratory in Raichur reportedly indicated that she was suffering from dengue. After two days, she was discharged from the hospital. But she was rushed to the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences in Bellary when her condition worsened.

She died on Saturday.
