Plan to reopen Narasaraopet blast case

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party is planning to petition the Government for reopening of the Narasaraopet bomb blast case against the then Telugu Desam Government Minister K. Siva Prasada Rao.

The case had been dropped by the then NDA Government following legal opinion that there was no material, even prime facie, for the grant of consent to the CBI to proceed with the case.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Government Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy said TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu had no moral right to demand the resignation of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy in Gouru Venkata Reddy's case.
