CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre is organising a free course on Core Java at the Periyar Science and Technology Centre Campus, Gandhi Mandapam Road. Seminar

Eye camps

Gremaltes Hospital and S.S. Jain Yuvak Sangh Trust organised nine eye-screening camps during the past two months in different parts of Chennai. 792 persons were screened and 233 cataract cases were detected. Free cataract surgery with IOL was done on 89 of them. Such camps are organised all Saturdays.

Lions Club to plant saplings

Lions Club of Padi Shenoy Nagar will plant 100 tree saplings with tree guards in and around Valliammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Anna Nagar East. The planting will be done with the involvement of Leo Club of Padi, Shenoy Nagar, Valliammal Exnora Students and GE Money volunteers. GE Money sponsors tree guards.

Students association launched
