NEW DELHI: Notwithstanding what the ICC CEO Malcolm Speed had to say at Jaipur on Monday, the ICC does have the right to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in case it found that the PCB's sanctions against the two cricketers, if found guilty, were not satisfactory. ICC's anti-doping code (article 15.2) says that a decision imposing "consequences for anti-doping code violation" could be appealed to CAS by the cricketer, the other party (in this case PCB), the ICC or any other anti-doping organisation under whose rules a sanction could have been imposed, and WADA.
