Stern action against ragging: Buddhadeb

Kolkata: The West Bengal Government will take stern measures against those responsible for ragging in educational institutions. Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Tuesday said that the ban on ragging was not followed always.The State had passed the West Bengal Prohibition of Ragging (in educational institutions) Act, 2000 but ragging continued at some places.

"The authorities have been instructed to take strict action against those still indulging in it; the guilty will not be let off," he said.
