KOTTAYAM: A bomb threat triggered by an unidentified caller stalled the proceedings at the courts at the district headquarters for over two hours on Tuesday. The police control room at Nagambadom received a phone call at 10 a.m., the police said. The caller said a bomb had been planted at the First Class Judicial Magistrate Court functioning in the Collectorate building. The caller also said it would go off at 11 a.m. The police officials arrived with a dog squad and cleared the area. They also searched the courts, including the Fast Track Court. But the call turned out to be hoax. Later, the court resumed functioning. The police said a case had been registered and investigations were on to identify the caller.
