New Delhi: A public interest petition was filed in the Supreme Court on Tuesday demanding an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and his family members for allegedly amassing assets worth crores of rupees disproportionate to their known sources of income. The petitioner, A.R. Subhash of Mangalore, alleged that the Chief Minister and his family members and Forest Minister C. Chennigappa had acquired property and amassed wealth, and thus they had committed offences under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and other relevant laws.
