Siva Kumar scalps six

VISAKHAPATNAM: Siva Kumar's six-wicket haul in the second innings, helped North Zone I score an eight-wicket win over Central Zone II in an ACA under-13 inter-zone tournament tie at Vizianagaram on Tuesday.

Second successive six-wicket haul by leg-spinner J. Siva Koteswara Rao saw Central Zone I gain first innings lead over North Zone II in another league match. North's left-arm medium pacer S. Prashantha Kumar, who claimed six wickets in the first innings, picked up three in the second innings.

The scores: Central Zone II 76 and 122 (Ravi Teja 32, Siva Kumar six for 20) lost to North Zone I 156 (Rohan Das 52, K.S. Bharat 25, Ch. S. Kishore four for 32) and 44 for two in 20 overs. North Zone I four points.

Central Zone I 254 and 118 for nine in 47 overs (J. Siva Koteswara Rao 36 n.o., P. Manohar 27, Ch. Samba three for 42, S. Prashantha Kumar three for 45) drew with North Zone II 131 in 60.3 overs (K. Satish Kumar 51, J. Siva Koteswara Rao six for 44). Central Zone I two points. — Special Correspondent
