Belgaum: The Government may consider according taluk status to Kittur, but only after completion of the delimitation of electoral constituencies, Minister for Horticulture and district in-charge Shashikant A. Naik said. He told presspersons here on Tuesday that it was not possible to take a decision on altering the boundaries of districts or taluks to create new taluks or districts in view of the ongoing process of delimitation in the State. The government would positively consider the long-pending demand of the people of Kittur.
