CHANDIGARH: The setting up of a network of delivery huts in rural areas of Haryana along with implementation of other health programmes has contributed significantly in raising the percentage of institutional deliveries from 23 in 2005 to 48 at present. State Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Health Urvashi Gulati said here on Tuesday that the delivery huts were providing hygienic, women-friendly and safe conditions for delivery within easy reach of the people in rural areas.
