KOCHI: The Co-ordination Committee of Lorries, Tanker Lorries, LPG and Container Lorries Owners Associations has threatened to go on strike from October 29 in protest against the decision to install speed governors on vehicles. Association chairman P. Ramachandran said here on Tuesday that the restriction was being imposed on heavy vehicles in Kerala, while it was not applicable for those registered in other States. The move amounted to discrimination and this had been brought to the notice of the Union and State Governments. The rule was being imposed from November 20. Though the Government had sought time to take up the issue, no concrete action had been initiated.
