Akhtar's trainer asked to furnish details

Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board wants the personal trainer of disgraced fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar to furnish details of all the medicines he may have recommended to the bowler for use earlier this year when he was recovering from injuries.

A source in the Board said Dr. Tauseef Razzak had accompanied Akhtar during his long meeting with Saleem Altaf, the Director of Cricket Operations in Lahore on Tuesday. ``

Apparently Altaf told Razzak he should also give details of all the medicines he had recommended to Akhtar for use while he was recovering from his knee surgery and stress fracture of the ankle this year,'' the source said. Plenty of controversy had been generated when Shoaib took treatment from Razzak in Lahore — PTI
