Union members want Government to implement two agreements signed with them
|
HYDERABAD:
Over 4,500 members of the Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Central Bank Employees' Association will go on indefinite strike from November 2 in protest against the Government's `failure' to implement two agreements signed in 2005 and 2006.
About 5,000 employees work in CCBs in 22 districts.
P. Nageswara Rao, president and B.S. Rambabu, general secretary, Andhra Pradesh Bank Employees' Federation, told a press conference here on Tuesday that the agreements were signed on February 8, 2005 and on July 19 this year on payment of interim relief, wage revision, promotions and compassionate appointments.
