"No interviews for nursery admission"

New Delhi : The Delhi High Court on Tuesday barred nursery schools from conducting any kind of interviews or interactions with children or their guardians during the admission process.

Accepting the report of Ashok Ganguly Committee, appointed by the High Court to ascertain the admission criteria in nursery classes, a Division Bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Vijender Jain and Justice Kailash Gambhir, directed for its implementation from the next academic session. While doing away with interviews, the court fixed a point system ranging from one to 100 on the basis of which children could gain admission.0 — PTI
