Patna: Taking objection to the RJD fielding its candidate for the bye-poll to the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha seat, the Congress today accused its UPA ally of taking "undue advantage" and indicated support for the CPI (M) candidate. "Congress has genuine claim to the seat. RJD on the strength of its 26 MPs has taken undue advantage of the party's goodness by ignoring its claim and fielding its own candidate for Bhagalpur seat," State Congress president Sadanand Singh, who himself is a contender for the seat, told PTI. Stating that RJD president Lalu Prasad's politics was `anti-Congress' he said the party "should stand on its own feet to win back peoples' support". Angry with the RJD, the people voted NDA to power, but was "depressed" with Nitish Kumar ministry and looking towards the Congress, he said and suggested the party should chart out an independent path in Bihar. Congress legislature party leader Ashok Ram also flayed the RJD decision to field its own candidate, former minister Shakuni Chaudhary. PTI
