Madikeri: Members of the minority communities in Kodagu have accused the Minorities Directorate and the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation (KMDC) of sending information on career opportunities, scholarships and other Government benefits to Kodagu either after expiry of the last date or within a few days of the last date for filling applications. Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, K.T. Baby Mathew, president of Kodagu District Christian Welfare Association, said that as a result of the delay, many bright students were missing out on various opportunities. Information regarding loans was not being brought to the notice of the deserving candidates in time. The delay had affected members of minority groups in the district, he said.Corruption was rampant in certain offices, he said.
