Doubts raised over projects

MAHABUBNAGAR: State BJP secretary N.V.V.S. Prabhakar has said that the Congress Government was constructing irrigation projects in the Krishna basin, depending on floodwaters.

Speaking to presspersons on Tuesday, he said that the ayacut under the projects would go dry when there were insufficient rains in the Krishna catchment area. He said that almost all irrigation projects being constructed in Telangana were based on lift irrigation, which required lot of power.
