Debate: Sairam Sanath Kumar and Vidya Venugopal of the ninth semester batch at National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) won the first prize in the debate competition in Talentime 2006 organised by the School of Management Studies at Cochin University of Science and Technology.

Oneal Sabu, a ninth semester student, won the Mr. Talentime title.

Seminar: Department of Culture and Heritage of the university will organise a seminar on cinema and culture from October 25 to 27.

Noted director Adoor Gopalakrishnan will inaugurate the event. Director K.G. George will deliver the keynote address on the occasion.

Training: National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health of the university will conduct a training programme in various fields related to marine biotechnology for research scholars working towards Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellows.

Placement: Yahoo India has offered jobs to two students of Model Engineering College in Thrikkakara.

Placement cell student coordinator of the college said the company offered an annual pay package between Rs.6.27-8.27 lakh for the students.

ICFAI: ICFAI National College Kerala Region will conduct a one-day faculty development programme on `innovative teaching methodologies at undergraduate-level case study and live project approach' here on October 19.
