BANGALORE: Residents of Srirampuram, Srirammandir, Prakashnagar and Ramchandrapuram can now pay their utility bills, including mobile phone bills, renew their bus passes and even obtain passport applications through a single window. The State Government on Tuesday opened an BangaloreOne Integrated Citizen Service Centre in Bashyamnagar of Srirampuram. Set up on the premises of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) ward office, the centre will bring under one roof the services of the BMP, Bangalore Electricity Supply Company, BSNL, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board, city police, Regional Passport Office, Commercial Taxes Department, Stamps and Registration and Regional Transport Offices. The services will be free and residents can pay utility bills, apply for a new passport or a telephone connection in a citizen-friendly ambience. For each service, time limits for waiting and transaction time are defined and an electronic queue management system is in place to monitor the same. Officials from the Directorate of e-Governance said that 35 more BangaloreOne centres would soon be set up all over the city. Plans are afoot to provide more services of government departments and private companies through these centres.
