dated October 19, 1956: Hitler's death

Adolf Hitler is to be officially declared dead by a German court later this month, Dr. R. Stephanus of the court in Berchtesgarden, Hitler's last official residence, said in Bonn. He told reporters that the court had been taking evidence from witnesses about Hitler's death for some years and would publish its detailed findings on October 25.
