HYDERABAD: Kanbay, a leading global end-to-end business IT solutions provider, has announced plans for expanding its footprint in Andhra Pradesh by investing US $ 50 million (about Rs. 230 crores). The company has established its own campus on a 15-acre plot near Hitec City. When completed, the new facility will have a built-up area of 7 lakh sqft with capacity to accommodate 4,500 associates.
State support
Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy who inaugurated Kanbay's Hyderabad campus on Wednesday said the Government would extend necessary infrastructure to IT companies besides providing them land at competitive prices. The Government was working to remove all bottlenecks in the setting up and functioning of the IT companies in the State. It had received approval for setting up 15 special economic zones exclusively for IT companies, he said adding the Government's efforts would the pave way for making the State `The IT destination' of the country. Speaking to reporters later, Kanbay Chairman and CEO Raymond J. Spencer said foundation stones were laid for two new buildings on the campus and the company was expanding its presence in Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune.
